Leaving the Nordic markets
BNP Paribas Personal Finance is leaving the Nordic markets.
All options to identify opportunities available in the interest of clients, partners and staff have been analysed, but unfortunately no stable model for the Nordics was found, and we have started the procedure to suspend operations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden for our consumer finance subsidiary, Express Bank. Business continuity for partners and customers on existing contracts will of course be fulfilled until full settlement of all contractual obligations. Clients’ deposits in current and savings accounts will continue to earn interest according to the applicable conditions, and clients can use them without restrictions until they receive a termination of the contract from us.
